Dave,

I'm using the trial version of Camtasia Mac Version 2 and have a couple of questions.  1)  I'm trying to record a PowerPoint presentation and am a little confused about the screen set up.  My attempts at recording show the entire desktop.  Is there a way to record the PPT in its "view slideshow" or full screen view?  When I go to slideshow view in PPT I lose the Camtasia tool box.  Attempts to use the custom regions have proven completely unsatisfactory.

2)  A set of Tips for using Camtasia suggested recording the video first then recording the audio -  kind of like dubbing I guess.  Is this a process you recommend?  If so, How do I mute the built-in mike to keep it from picking up ambient sounds, etc. while I do the video?

Your assistance is appreciated.

Will be purchasing screenflow or camptasia.  Please Advise:  mantrim@iusd.org

Hi Dave.

I attended the conference over the summer, but I signed up for it the day before it began. As a result, the Camtasia that I downloaded in Woodland Park must have been the trial because it is now telling me that it is expired. Can you help me out with getting the proper code to me?

Thanks!

Christina

Dave, I was doing the Camtasia PPT tutorial and I was on the first step, adding on PPT, and when I tried to enable it through Camtasia, a message that read " needs administrative approval".  Not quite sure what that means.  Can you help me?  Thanks!  Meg Cottingham

Dave,

I see you're in East Lansing. I'm a State alum! Let's start a Camtasia group and share our experiences and "expertise".

Go Spartans!

I saw your comment to Jonathan about setting up a section for questions on Camtasia. I think that would be a great idea. I teach in a large school district and currently I'm the Camtasia "expert" (and I use that term VERY loosely) only because I've been using it the longest. So a place to ask questions and also share things we've figured out/learned might be cool.

Dave: thanks for joining. I think you could add most in the discussion about the technology when folks have questions. Also you might be able to get some suggestions on new features for camtasia in the future.
