The Writing behind the video

Whether it's teachers creating video for flipped content or students using video to demonstrate their learning, there's a writing process at the basis of any video. What can we do  to develop the writing skills which distinguish a powerful video?

I have a digital storytelling curriculum up at

http://digitalstory.pbworks.com/w/page/17804262/FrontPage

which has a lot of resources and outlines one approach. I'd also suggest the National Writing Project site on writing and technology

and their "Digital Is" initiative,

We had a heartfelt discussion of what "authentic writing" means recently...

and I just found an article on making movies with middle schoolers there

What grade level(s) would you target for a project?

Good luck!

Cheers, Fred

I am interested in teaching flipped research projects in the library. Any feedback you can give me about the writing process as I start would be great.
