It's been a while since anyone posted here, but does anyone want to give an update on how their flips went across Kansas?

I flipped Kansas history, but only lessons. We don't have the technology setup in Olathe to pull of an all out flip. I had great success at the 7th grade level, and by the end of each assigned flip, including once absent kids returned, I had 100% of my kids turning in an assignment. For those who didn't have it done when they walked in to class, they went to my computer station in the room and finished the flip while my kids did the fun enrichment activity. Since the flip was the "information" I needed them to know, they had to get that turned in. It was usually a low level Bloom's assignment, and the activity took the creativity and upper level thinking skills. Crazy twist, every kid got participate in that activity too, just at differing levels.

Also, I will be flipping my 1st semester World Geography class this fall... Or at least lessons until we get the bond issue passed which will get us technology!

I'd love to hear how this worked in your ares! Please let us know!

Great to hear from the both of you.  James, I've been reading some results, and since I am now teaching Middle School, I know that my question may not correspond exactly to your results...  How many kids do you have going and doing the necessary activities outside of class?  Every Middle School person has shown about 75% completion from the discussions I've seen.  Are these your results?

Hi James and Ryan. I am a newbie to the flipped classroom. My plan is to take baby steps this year by converting some units to the flipped model. Hopefully next year I can have at least one course completely flipped.

Hello to both!  I've just started looking into the Flipped Classroom with my asst. Principal James Libal (He'll be joining us shortly in the group!).  Have the two of you both implemented this yet?
