Hi Deb,

Thank you for your comment.
We started EDUonGo from the demand of students and instructors at my own academy: http://my.realvisualz.com
A lot of my instructors were going outside our Moodle LMS to manage courses, especially for learner-learner collaboration. Due to the nature of our courses we wanted students to collaborate with each other before a session started, during the session and after the session had ended. Moodle was not cutting it for us (as you can see from the link above we used Moodle at my academy).

We had few instructors use Edmodo for course streams and use another website for video noting, another website for collaborative reading ... etc. We simply wanted a Learning Environment that brings together the latest technology into one Learning Management System. Just an FYI: Edmodo is not an LMS ---- thus, it doesn't offer instructional tools such as Organizable Lessons, Self-Paced Learning ... etc.

Our mission is to bring together the most powerfull collaborative tools into the Learning Management System. Our focus is not to just take an LMS and make it intuitive and add some commenting features like Schoology did. We have built tools similar to iBooks (from Apple) and made that collaborative, Video noting while you're watching a lecture, virtual desktop just like our PC, multi-user interactive whiteboard (much like Prezi) ...etc. Again our focus is not the LMS, it is the Learner.

Our next update (which will happen end of October) will allow any invidual or institution launch their own academy / online school for FREE. In addition, we are pushing 100% responsive design making our system cross-platform for any device in the market.

Edu, as an LMS, appears similar to Edmodo and Schoology. I can see some nice features, yet, I'm not clear on what Edu uniquely offers and I should consider switching. Could you compare it to other LMS already available, particularly those two?

Also, "a lot of institutions are replacing their Moodle platform with Edu" is quite a claim. "A lot"  . . . hmmm. Considering Edu's very recent emergence, this is more than surprising.

We all want the best for our students and tools that will make our job a bit less taxing. Thanks in advance for your reply.
