I'm working on the flipped classroom idea in my college classes. Recently I've read all of Dan Roam's books on visual communication and would like to draw as I narrate a video on the advanced…Continue

I posted this on the Camtasia site several weeks ago and never got a response. I am hoping you might have time to respond. When I edit a recording I often use the cut tool and proceed. I end up…Continue

I was wondering if there was an add-on that would allow me to send a link of a published video made with Camtasia to my Twitter account or WordPress blog. I know I could copy/paste the url from my…Continue

Comment by Kathy Jackson on August 13, 2012 at 3:06pm When you get into power point go to the little arrow where you end the slide show. Select pointer options and pick pen, then you can pick the color you want to use and the stylus will no longer advance the slide, you will have to do that with the arrow keys or mouse - but you will be able to write on your presentation
Comment by Jodi Friedman on August 13, 2012 at 2:13pm Hi Jason--Maybe you can help me. I'm trying to make a podcast of a Powerpoint presentation. I have a Wacom tablet to write on the screen. However, when I start writing I keep accidentally forwarding the slideshow at the same time. I have selected the writing tool and not the pointer in Camtasia, but somehow I keep forwarding the slideshow before I'm ready. Any thoughts?

Comment by Dave McCollom (TechSmith) on July 21, 2012 at 7:46am Hi Gail -
If you want to bring in old recordings, you can do that using the process in the link below. There is no way to bring in project files (with callouts and other editable elements). Here is the link to the support article that explains the process: http://techsmith.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2188
Thanks,
Dave
Comment by David Marcey on July 21, 2012 at 1:28am @Gail... Unfortunately, camtasia for mac and camtasia studio for pc are incompatible. I think that eventually they will be, but for now, forget about opening your pc recordings on your mac. At least that has been my experience.
Comment by Gail Cahn on July 20, 2012 at 6:15pm Has anyone played around with moving between windows and mac? I had a windows computer at my old school, and am now using a macbook pro.I wanted to use a recording I made on the dell, but am having trouble. When I have Camtasia Studio open on my mac, I try to import media, but it is as if the .camrec files don't exist. Is this a compatibility issue?
