I'm working on the flipped classroom idea in my college classes. Recently I've read all of Dan Roam's books on visual communication and would like to draw as I narrate a video on the advanced…Continue

I posted this on the Camtasia site several weeks ago and never got a response. I am hoping you might have time to respond. When I edit a recording I often use the cut tool and proceed. I end up…Continue

I was wondering if there was an add-on that would allow me to send a link of a published video made with Camtasia to my Twitter account or WordPress blog. I know I could copy/paste the url from my…Continue

Comment by Jessie LaHaie (TechSmith) on January 16, 2013 at 9:58am Hello everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself as the new moderator for the Camtasia group. I am the Online Community Specialist for our Education Team here at TechSmith. That is a fancy way of saying "Social Media person for EDU." :) I am excited to be here to answer any questions you might have. I'm also interested in hearing how you are using Camtasia. I'll be keeping an eye on discussions so please don't be shy about starting one up!
Comment by Dave McCollom (TechSmith) on November 12, 2012 at 7:47am Hi Katie - Yes, with Camtasia you can produce your videos as MP4 files (which should play on any device).
Comment by Katie Giegler on November 11, 2012 at 6:15pm This might be a stupid question but I have used screenr.com to do some screen captures but noticed that my students are unable to view these videos on their phones/ipads. If I make videos using Camtasia will the students be able to view the videos on these devices? Thanks!
Comment by Rick Speigner on October 19, 2012 at 9:17am Could you not save the .proj video again at a lower resolution?
Comment by Elizabeth Christophy on October 19, 2012 at 4:21am Liz,
What format did you publish it in? That can affect the size. Also, how long is it? You may want to split it up into 2 vodcasts.
Comment by Liz Padilla on October 18, 2012 at 8:53pm Can anyone help? I tried to publish my vodcast and it said the file was to big for youtube and/or my web. I am a new user and I watched the tutorial, yet when I did what it said, it failed. I want to get these recordings produced for viewing and I am stuck? Thanks to anyone who can help me.
Comment by Dave McCollom (TechSmith) on August 23, 2012 at 7:46am I'd like to remind everyone that rather than posting on the wall for groups, it's best to start a new discussion thread in the group discussion forum. That way all of the responses are consolidated into a single thread. Here on the wall threads will get broken up by general comments like this =). It also makes it easier to link to when others have similar questions in the future.

Comment by Liz Padilla on August 23, 2012 at 5:35am Can anyone tell me how to do the picture in picture with Camtasia?
Comment by Steve Seddon on August 22, 2012 at 4:51am I have had most of my new camproj files came up as 'not responding'. I cant't seem to conqure.......any thoughts.
I thought that one of my files may have gone a little funky when I had lots of edits; however, it is happening with all camrec files I now pull up.
Files created earlier seem to open fine.
Installed and trialled on my other computer.......same issue when trying to create a project wth the same camrec files.........
