Are you currently flipping? Would you like to and don't know where to start? What resources can you share or questions do you have?

Hello ARTS group!  Does anyone have experience using Blackboard Collaborate for teaching an Art Flipped Classroom?  Next month I'm facilitating a live interactive webinar where I will demonstrate how BbCollaborate can be used to empower the Flipped Classroom.  As a person passionate about arts and crafts, I would LOVE to mention some Arts use cases?  Any experience or ideas are welcomed, encouraged and appreciated.

Hi Everyone

I am a high school Art teacher and ICT Integrator in Cape Town.  Have flipped a couple of classes, but want to be more thorough and academic about choosing which topics to flip and to make the lesson really engaging and inspiring.

Hi Katie,

The music teacher at my school has posted instructional videos on how to play the recorder on the school's YouTube site. Students can practice at home along with the video. Nice close ups of correct finger placement...The students seem to like this and parents can observe a lesson this way too. He's doing other videos too and I will share this site with him. Perhaps he will post here in the future.

Hi!  I am a music teacher and am planning to start some flipped instruction in the 2012-13 school year.  Any other music teachers in this group or are you all visual?  I am planning to add video mini-lessons for the kids as they walk in the room, as well as some videos for practice help at home with recorders.

Hello everyone! Can't wait to learn more here! Just in the beginning stages of incorporating flip approach to my classes.

If you are interested in connecting with other visual arts teachers from around the world, ArtEd2.0 is another ning group that I highly recommend -  http://arted20.ning.com/

I am an elementary art teacher and look forward to beginning this process. I will be research special education applications, inquiry learning, and differentiation tools, especially.

Hi!  I really want to try this, but I expect to be overwhelmed this year and may not have time.  I have 3 new classes this year, including an AP Art History class.  I know I could save time if I flipped, but do not have the software or the funds.  I would like to learn more.

Tabitha - Nice to see you joined. I created 2 groups so that we could have in introduction space and one to talk about what we would like to do. What classes do you teach?

Leslie, I am so excited that you started this group.  I was looking into joining the network for a few weeks but was disappointed that I was going to be the only art teacher but I am so thrilled that you are here also.  Are you already flipping your classroom? I have not started but am trying to find more resources to make the switch!

Discussion here about flipping all things in art courses. I currently teach digital arts (graphic design) and am wanting to do more things flipped.
