Hi folks!
I'm giving a presentation on combining screen recording w/ SMART / Electronic Whiteboards. I'd love to get your story about what's working for you, so I can share it w/ others at upcoming conferences and seminars that I present at.
Just drop me a line! I'd love to hear your story!
Thanks!

We are going to make another one tonight and see how it goes.
We are still learning.

I recently switched to making my vodcasts with a Smartboard. I though I would need a wireless mic, but I found that just hanging a Logitech USB mic taped on top of the board works just fine.
I also recently made is so that my computer thinks it has 2 monitors. That way I can keep all the stuff I do not want to appear on the recording on the computer screen, and only the recordable part on the Smartboard.

Permalink Reply by Chad Leckie on January 31, 2011 at 11:51am I've recorded almost all my AP Calculus lectures using a SmartBoard ... Between Camtasia and SmartNotebook ... make sure you have as much RAM as possible and the biggest processor you can afford ...
I am now using a Dell Laptop with an I5 processor and 3GB of RAM and it is finally working seemlessly!
I have an external webcam set up ... see my page for pics ... and a XBox 360 Guitar Hero Microphone hanging from the ceiling. It all works pretty well.
The downside is I have to go to school to do everything, but I just didn't have the skills to draw graphs without "seeing" exactly where I was putting my pen.
I still use Camtasia to do all the editing and recording because the Smart Software doesn't allow you to edit.
